Having been led by the Spirit of God to receive Jesus Christ as
our personal Lord and Savior, and on the profession of faith,
having been baptized into the Family of God, we joyfully and
sincerely covenant as one body of Christ. We engage, therefore,
by the aid of the Holy Spirit,
To walk together in Christian love with all humanity;
To strive for the advancement of this Church in knowledge,
holiness, and unity;
To promote its prosperity and spirituality;
To sustain its worship, ordinances, discipline, and
doctrines;
To hold His Kingdom first, above all that we do or support
in our world;
To contribute cheerfully and regularly to the support of the
ministry and the Church, the relief of the poor, and the
spread of the gospel through all nations.
We also shall maintain family and personal devotions, educate
our children in our faith, and seek the salvation of our kindred
and acquaintances.
We shall remember each other in prayer, aid each other in
sickness and trouble, and cultivate Christian sympathy,
courtesy, and forgiveness in all of our relationships.
We shall be slow to take offense, be always ready for
reconciliation, and mindful of the rules of our Savior to seek
it without delay.
Whatever we do in word or deed, we shall do all in the name
of the Lord Jesus.
We moreover commit, that when we move from this place, we
will, as soon as possible, unite with some other church where we
can carry out the spirit of this covenant and the principles of
God's love as He has taught us through His word.
