Missions
The focus of the Missions Board is to help our congregation send
forth God's light by addressing the specific needs of individuals and
groups in our village, state, country, and world. Using a variety of
mediums they bring these needs before the congregation, encourage
giving, and distribute the funds back to those who requested them.
Through words and deeds they help us to proclaim our commitment to love
and care for each other as a family surrounded by Christ's love.
Each year the Board selects a number of special offerings to support.
These include the World Mission Offering, Retired Ministers and
Missionaries Offering, the Tool and Blanket Offering, America for
Christ, and One Great Hour of Sharing.
In addition to these formal programs, the Board regularly supports
our missionaries in Chile (Mr. & Mrs. Dwight Bolick), several non-profit
organizations such as the Springbrook Home for the Disabled, the
Salvation Army, Rescue Mission, and Campus Crusade for Christ.
Requests for funds may be made directly to any Missions Board member,
or by sending an e-mail to
missions@cazvbc.org. First priority is given to Christian
organizations, but local concerns and individuals may also be supported. |
