The Mission Advocates in Partnership program was launched in 1997 for the purpose of strengthening the understanding and funding of American Baptist mission, by creating and sustaining a network of committed, enthusiastic, informed, local mission spokespersons who work in partnership with local church pastors and regional staff. Regions and churches with active Mission Advocates say the benefits have been invaluable - and valuable!

Having one person who will walk alongside the pastor to make worship and communications (such as bulletin and newsletter information) are coordinated with the mission committee goals is a big plus.
