Rev. Richard Dickinson, Pastor
with his wife,
May Yin and their son, Ephraim

You will have the experience
of a lifetime!

It is the neighborly thing to do - inviting people to your home.  One of our members more than likely lives around the corner or on your street.  We are, therefore placing an open invitation to you to come and join us in our Church Family home.  You might be looking for a live church in which to worship and a Christian family in which to share in mission.  Fellowship, and growing spiritual life.  New residents, students, visitors, travelers, families, singles and people from all kinds of church and non-church backgrounds are warmly welcomed at our Church Family home.

Our faith in Christ is what binds us together.  It is His GOOD NEWS freely proclaimed with a warm evangelical spirit and freely received that has made us one.  We believe a living faith, one with integrity, is a unity of belief, trust and action; therefore, we desire to seek, enjoy and serve God by living out His Kingdom's rule here in our Cazenovia.  In this spirit we invite you and others to know Him through faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

If you would like to know more about us, kindly read further.  You can learn even more by joining us on Sunday at 10:30 AM for worship.  We'll be very pleased to greet you and help you feel at home.

Brief Testimony from Pastor Richard.

I went to college in the 60s, which should worry any straight thinking person! But as we often hear people say, “that is another story!” In 1973, after finishing a Masters in Microbiology, I no longer believed that the world evolved, it had to have been made for it was just too precise and complicated. So I went on a search for who was telling the truth about God and wandered about the yoga societies, sat at the feet of the Eastern gurus visiting America, read the likes of Carlos Castaneda, and a whole lot of other dimensions that I myself invented to become spiritual, like not eating or sleeping. However, those sorts of things are not really all that refreshing, to say the least! Finally, I decided to try that which I scorned most, as did most of my generation, the Bible. And I concluded, over time, that the Bible was indeed accurate and Jesus was the truth. This eventually led me to seminary and a Masters of Divinity. It also led me to my dear wife, May Yin, who was also a seminary student; and in turn, to Ephraim, our dear son, who was home schooled through ninth grade and now is in medical school at Columbia University’s College of Physicians and Surgeons.

In 1977, God called me into the ministry, and to that task I have tried to be faithful ever since. Over the years I have also been an active community member in varying capacities; and am the current president and founding member of a Christian alumni organization at the Northfield Mt. Hermon School (a New England preparatory boarding school) that reaches out to the students (nmhccf.org). I have also written a book, “Ruling Life,” on the lives of the Old Testament kings that is not yet published.
